Guess what? Blogmas Day 16 is also my 100th blog post! I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do something special for my 100th post. A lot of bloggers do, but I also just had my 1 year blogiversary in November and I did a Q & A style post for that. Instead, I want to talk about the upcoming year and what 2022 looks like for me. It’s basically a “life update,” type of post. I feel weird calling it that, but I do have some things to share.
The biggest thing that is happening is… I’m moving to Seattle! I mentioned a while back that I had moved out of the apartment I was in and back in with my parents for a few months. Well, that’s because I’m finally taking the plunge and doing something selfish. Ever since my best friend moved there a few years ago, I’d been drawn to Seattle more and more. I did consider Seattle as a place I’d like to live in after graduating college, but I had never been and didn’t know anyone there, so not much came of that at the time.
Back in September, I visited my friend in Seattle. Between that visit and other personal things I won’t be sharing on the internet, moving across the country feels right. Am I terrified? Absolutely. Am I ready to scream just from the stress of it all? Of course I am. Am I letting the constant roadblocks and issues stop me? Fuck no.
This is the first time in way too long that I’ve felt like I was doing something only because I want to. I’m basically just tuning out any attempts to talk me out of it. I still don’t have a place to go, but I’ve started packing. And, I’ve already started a list of things I want to do once I’m settled there, and I can’t wait.
I’ll be doing random moving updates on Instagram stories and reels- so make sure you’re following me on Instagram.
On a completely different note, in 2022 I will be posting more content regularly on YouTube. And, I want to figure out how to stream on Twitch without killing my computer. I also plan to do a lot more book reviews. Ever since getting my Kindle, I’m reading 2-3 books a week (minimum). I can’t wait to discover new authors and books.
