I’m one of the people that gets sucked into the ‘best of Amazon’ or ‘Amazon items you need’ videos on YouTube and tiktok. I can’t help it! Prime Day is tomorrow, so I’m sharing another round of my favorite purchases with you. Maybe your next must-have item is in this post?
Acrylic Makeup Storage
I’ve been watching beauty YouTube since it began – and even though the community has seen a lot of change, acrylic organizers for makeup storage have always been popular. But, they’re expensive as hell!
Last year, I went on a search for a better makeup organization system and found this. And, it comes apart so you can combine multiple units together to make a giant stack of makeup (which is what I did). I also specifically wanted brush organizers with lids. I was tired of my brushes being covered in dust since I do not put on a full face of makeup every day after 2020.
Home Items
I love these acrylic clear stands for my desk. I have my laptop sitting on them right now. I use the larger one, with the smaller one tucked underneath it. It creates the perfect little space for my planner. But, I’m able to use my laptop on either stand without causing any eye strain. Since getting these and a keyboard to use, my migraines have decreased significantly. They make just as much of a difference as my blue-light glasses do.
If you’re looking for a soft, cozy blanket, look no further than this one. It also comes in multiple color options, but I personally have the gray. And it goes well with my rug.
Last but not least, this air mattress is the best. I slept on this thing for almost a month while waiting for the moving truck to arrive in Seattle with my stuff. It site a bit higher off the ground, which makes it seem more like a bed. But my personal favorite part, it comes with a pump to inflate and deflate it. It also comes with a bag/case so you don’t have to worry about how to store it when you’re not using it.
Travel Essentials
I’ve heard for years that packing cubes make organizing your suitcase easier, but never felt the need to try them. But, when I was looking at staying in an Airbnb for a week and staying in my apartment for who knows how long without all of my stuff, I decided to try them out.
I have two different kinds, one is a compression set. It made it so much easier to put a sheet set, blanket, and towels in my suitcase for after the Airbnb. The other set isn’t a compression set, but it helped keep things organized, especially when I didn’t have a dresser or even hangers. If you’re living in a tight space like a dorm or studio apartment, both sets are great for storing clothing.
A luggage scale is always a good idea. I got this one mainly because it’s cheap. But, it’s crazy how strong it is. My suitcase was well over 50 pounds and it was still able to hold and weigh it.
Random Amazon Finds
Yes, I have a pint of ice cream here. If you use Amazon Fresh, get this Triple Chocolate Truffle ice cream. It’s cheaper than Ben & Jerry’s, but if you’re a chocolate lover you’ll love the rich flavor.
I did mention this item in my Last Minute Father’s Day Gifts post, but this cold brew coffee maker is amazing. It’s super simple to use, and all of the pieces are dishwasher safe. If you need iced coffee in the summer, this is a must have!
If you deal with chronic pain, or starting a new workout routine, this Rock Sauce is amazing. It’s basically BioFreeze. But, the rollerball applicator on it means that I can put it anywhere on my back without help. This is an Amazon item that I found from Taylor Wynn’s recommendations, and it’s just as good as she says.
And finally, these tiny pads are great for keeping your laptop cool. They also elevate your laptop (obviously) which means the screen is more eye-level than it would be without them. I’m sure you can think of those programs that send your computer’s fan into high gear and make your laptop hot to the touch. While these don’t eliminate that, they help keep air circulating and the overall temperature is lower.
My #1 Amazon Purchase – My Kindle
Spending money on a kindle last fall was one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I’m obsessed. I got the basic model, but the new Paperwhite model is great for those that want a water-proof one. I initially didn’t get a cover for it, but I recommend one – it bringing it places much easier, and it covers up the ad that is shown on the screen
But, I don’t mind the ads like I thought I would. Especially since they are for books similar to that I’ve been reading. Even if they weren’t for books I’d like, I don’t think it would be worth extra money to avoid them. Instead, take that money and use it on a Kindle Unlimited subscription. I’m sure there will be Prime Day deals for it, so grab it then! And, if you’re subscription has already been paid for, whatever new plan you purchase won’t go into effect until after the current plan ends.
