Season 2 of Only Murders in the Building has begun! Have you watched it yet? There are mild spoilers in this review, so reader beware!

Episode 1: Person of Interest
From the start, the first episode picks up in the interrogation room. We learn that Bunny was killed with a knife, not the knitting needle that is in her chest when Mabel finds her. And the police do not have the real murder weapon.
We also meet two new characters, one of them is a new Arconia resident, Amy Schumer (playing herself). The first scene with her took place with Oliver in the elevator, and within seconds I was annoyed. I sincerely hope she is not like this in real life. I have no knowledge of what she’s like, but… yikes.
The other newbie is played by Cara Delevingne (and I’d like to thank the lawyers in the Johnny Depp trial for giving me a new way to pronounce her name). Her character slides into Mabel’s DMs, and I could only focus on the fact that she reminded me of Lindsey Lohan’s character in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. Something about her mouth and the expressions she makes when she’s speaking.
Overall, I loved the first episode. Between the immediate callbacks to the trio meeting in the elevator, seeing the inside of Bunny’s apartment, and the bird, it was a hit.
Episode 2: Framed
The second episode, was a bit slow compared to the first. It’s expected, but it just didn’t hold my attention the way the first episode did. But, it did leave me with some questions.
Do we know how old Bunny was? Because, how is her mother still alive??? Or, is it not actually her mother?
I’m unsure how I feel about the ‘porny’ painting. But, since apparently “Bunny had a real eye for erotic art,” I wouldn’t be shocked if we come across a lot more of her collection this season. It is… strange to think about the fact that Bunny had a pornographic painting of her neighbor’s father hanging above her bed.
One last random thought- I love friendly, gossip-y Howard.
My Season 2 Wishlist
What are you hoping for in season 2? In a couple of interviews, I’ve read that we’ll be learning more about the trios families. I really want to see Mabel’s Aunt. She’d be interesting to meet since she was the reason Mabel was able to spend her summers in New York City. and Mabel is now living in her apartment to renovate it. Is this renovation actually real? Or is it just a cover story? Did she want the mural on the wall of her place? So many questions!
The only other thing I want to see is more of Oscar. That can’t be over. It just can’t be!
