Harloe Rae’s latest book, Mine for Yours, is a double single parent, brother’s best friend romance with tons of emotion and 2 adorable 7-year-olds.
Initial Thoughts
Rylee’s brother Trevor, was killed in an accident, leaving his best friend and business partner, Rhodes, to wallow in his grief. When Rylee walks into the bar they owned together, Bent Pedal, and announces that Trevor left his portion of the bar to her, Rylee and Rhodes agree to figure out how to work together and honor Trevor’s wishes.
From the beginning, the chemistry between them is hard to ignore. But denying their obvious feelings for one another leads to lots of arguing, silent treatments, and intense longing. And one day they reach their limit and become explosive.
Lucky for them, Rylee’s son Gage, and Rhodes’ daughter Payton, are best friends from the start. They’re the little cheerleaders their parents’ need. After all, when you kids tell you about the fire that burns between you and a significant other, can you really deny it?

Final Verdict
Mine for Yours isn’t what I’d call ‘peak spice,’ but, I certainly wasn’t mad at it. And let’s just say, I will never look a bottle of whiskey the same way again.
While this isn’t my favorite book written by Harloe Rae, I’m glad I read it. It is an enjoyable story, with a strong family element, but plenty of ‘adult’ moments (and I don’t just mean the spicy moments). Gage and Payton reminded me so much of Tally from There’s Always Someday, and that little girl was perfection.
If you’re looking for a book with an emotional romance, spice, and a family-oriented center, Mine For Yours, is the book for you! If you have read it, what were your favorite parts?
