Mother’s Day 2022 is April 8th! You have less than a week – did you get Mom a gift yet? Lucky for you I’m sharing some last minute gift ideas. All of these items are available from Amazon, and have Prime shipping available – so you know your gifts will get to you in time for Mother’s Day 2022.
Explore
Did you know that you can book virtual experiences on Amazon? In March and April of 2020 when the pandemic had just begun, virtually touring cities became popular. Now, you can book private or group tours of places all around the world. And, you can also attend cooking classes, guided mediation sessions, and so much more.
The experiences range in prices, but a large portion of them are under $50. And just like any listing online, you can read ratings to get an idea of what they’re like, and what the host/guide like. Explore is still in beta mode, and I for one am interested in seeing how this develops over the next couple of years.
These explore sessions are especially great for those who are unable to travel due to their health. Sure, it’s not going to be as fun as going in person. But for someone who is confined to a nursing home, for example, it could be a great way to spend an hour. And even more so if it’s something you can do together.
Available Explore Sessions (some of them!)
- Virtually Learn to Make Fresh Pasta
- Macarons Made Easy
- Paris Sightseeing
- Wonders of Ancient Rome
- Get Up-Close with Wild Animals in Costa Rica
Check out all of the available Explore sessions here.
Gadget Gifts for Mom
Does Mom constantly loose her keys? Or maybe she puts her purse down and forgets where she put it? Apple AirTags are a great way to keep track of those items. I can think of several people in my life that these would be great for. And, don’t forget to get a keychain for them!
For any reader, a Kindle is a great gift. I’m so glad I purchased mine last year. A new Paperwhite model was released last fall, but the basic model is just as great (and is what I have).
Wireless noise cancelling headphones are always a good idea. I have full review of the Sony WH-CH710N model here.
- Tile Mate 2-Pack (alternative to the Apple AirTags)
- Cover for Kindle Paperwhite
- Cover for basic Kindle
- Kindle Unlimited Membership
- Audible Membership
Kitchen “Extras”
While this wine chiller is not something anyone needs, you can’t deny that it would make a great gift for the Mom who loves a glass of red on a Friday night.
But, if you’re shopping for someone who doesn’t drink, but loves coffee, this Keurig is a great idea. You can make normal k-cups with it but it also has a dishwasher safe milk frother. Personally, the dishwasher-safe part is my favorite.
Or, if you’re looking for a gift for someone like me who hates the summer heat, this ice coffee maker is the perfect way to help someone get their caffeine buzz when it’s warm outside.
Home Items for Mom
This faux fur blanket from Everlasting Comfort is so luxurious feeling, and just so cozy. I personally have the gray color (shown above), but there is a wide variety of beautiful colors. But, if there is too many throw blankets in the living room, then get this seat cushion and lumbar support set (also from Everlasting Comfort). And, both of those items can be purchased separately.
And finally, you can never go wrong with a candle. This Capri Blue Volcano candle has a blend of citrus and sugar notes, making it the perfect summer scent. There are a few jar colors to choose from, but personally, I like the white best.
I hope this list helps you pick up a gift in time for Mother’s Day 2022! You can also read my guide for Mother’s Day gifts for any budget, or the gift guide from Mother’s Day 2021 for more ideas. I also have created lists for Mom and one for Grandma on Etsy.
